TAGLIOVIVO

TAGLIOVIVO is a bag brand from southern Italy founded in 2012 by the designer Giordano Lapegna, who decided to create a collection made of raw materials (such as natural fabrics, vegetable-tanned leather, wrought iron) combined together with the beloved Italian handcraft.

Leather and metal are the key elements of the brand: the leathers in particular are vegetable-tanned and therefore incredibly natural. Furthermore there’s the designer’s aim to preserve the natural aesthetics of the leather by keeping all the original marks and characteristics visible on the bags.

More uniqueness is given to each creation also thanks to the handmade iron accessories and rings, some of which come from ancient wrought-iron chains from the second half of the nineteenth century.

The brand’s production is made in Italy by craftsmen whose experience in leather processing dates back to three generations ago: every single bag is cut by hand, choosing the right part of the leather, in order to create a durable product that becomes more beautiful over time.

TAGLIOVIVO è un brand di borse del sud Italia fondato nel 2012 dal designer Giordano Lapegna, che ha deciso di creare una collezione fatta di materie prime (come tessuti naturali, pelle conciata al vegetale, ferro battuto) combinate insieme all’amato artigianato italiano.

Pelle e metallo sono gli elementi chiave del brand: i pellami in particolare sono conciati al vegetale e per questo sono incredibilmente naturali. Inoltre c’è l’obiettivo del designer di conservare l’estetica naturale della pelle mantenendo tutti i segni e le caratteristiche originali visibili sulle borse.

Ogni creazione acquisisce maggiore unicità anche grazie agli accessori e agli anelli in ferro realizzati a mano, alcuni dei quali provengono da antiche catene in ferro battuto della seconda metà dell’Ottocento.

La produzione del brand è realizzata in Italia da artigiani la cui esperienza nella lavorazione della pelle risale a tre generazioni fa: ogni singola borsa viene tagliata a mano scegliendo la parte giusta del pellame, in modo da creare un prodotto durevole che diventa più bello nel corso del tempo.
