ESTER & ERIK was founded in Denmark in 1987 by Ester and Erik Møller, a couple driven by the desire to create high-quality handcrafted candles. Erik brought his experience in the candle industry, while Ester contributed her eye for detail — together they built a brand that blends Nordic design with true craftsmanship.
In their workshop in Silkeborg, each candle is still made from pure paraffin wax, cotton wicks, and water-based dyes free from harmful substances. The heart in the logo symbolizes the love and passion behind the brand: “to create warmth, joy, and life through the light of candles.”
Today, led by the second generation, ESTER & ERIK exports to more than 50 countries and continues to embody the elegance and tradition of Danish design around the world.
ESTER & ERIK nasce in Danimarca nel 1987 grazie a Ester ed Erik Møller, una coppia unita dal desiderio di creare candele artigianali di alta qualità. Erik portò la sua esperienza nel settore e Ester la cura per i dettagli, dando vita a un marchio che unisce design nordico e artigianalità.
Nel loro laboratorio di Silkeborg, ogni candela viene ancora oggi realizzata con cera di paraffina pura, stoppini in cotone e colori ad acqua privi di sostanze nocive. Il cuore del logo simboleggia l’amore e la passione che guidano l’azienda: “creare calore, gioia e vita attraverso la luce delle candele”.
Oggi, guidata dalla seconda generazione, ESTER & ERIK esporta in oltre 50 paesi e continua a rappresentare l’eleganza e la tradizione del design danese nel mondo.
