A TENTATIVE ATELIER

A Tentative Atelier is a creative studio born in Hong Kong in 2012 with its team located between the United Kingdom, Italy and China.

The label aims to explore artistic handicraft elements, along with innovative forms and silhouettes in garments: the team is supported by a group of professional tailors and seamstresses with over 40 years of experience in the garment industry, notably the last generation of Shanghai Artisans.

The purpose is to discover new deconstruction details combined with traditional craftsmanship: a unisex, timeless look that defines a coexistent generation for both masculine and feminine wardrobes, bringing out a neo-romantic appeal with a unique personality.

Each product is carefully projected, from materials to classic craftsmanship, such that every item has a sense of purpose, understated elegance and poetry while maintaining its wearability: natural fabrics such as leather, silk, and linen to maintain their raw quality, contrasted with alternative synthetic materials and metals for balance and enhancement.

Each collection portrays a contemporary sense of luxury, with each piece of clothing having its own identity.

Il marchio mira a esplorare elementi artigianali artistici, insieme a forme e silhouette innovative negli abiti: il team è supportato da un gruppo di sarti e sarte con oltre 40 anni di esperienza nel settore dell’abbigliamento, l’ultima generazione di artigiani di Shanghai.

L’obiettivo è scoprire nuovi dettagli di decostruzione combinati con l’artigianato tradizionale: un look unisex e senza tempo che definisce una generazione coesistente per guardaroba sia maschili che femminili, facendo emergere un fascino neo-romantico con una personalità unica.

Ogni prodotto è attentamente studiato, dai materiali all’artigianato classico, in modo che ogni articolo abbia un senso, eleganza sobria e poesia pur mantenendo la sua vestibilità: tessuti naturali come pelle, seta e lino per mantenere la loro qualità grezza, in contrasto con materiali sintetici alternativi e metalli per equilibrio e valorizzazione.
